Day Three: Cheap & Easy & Clean

Day Three: Cheap & Easy & Clean

Friday August 8th 2014 (Day 3)

Today’s Pin is brought to you by edensongskincare.com.  It’s pinned to my “So Fresh & So Clean” Board.

I have been wanting to go chemical free and homemade for a while now.  I really do try to stay as natural as possible, yet for some reason it seems so daunting. Well, I’m here to tell you it’s really not!  I just made a cleaner for my laminate floors in like 2 seconds. I did have to go to Target for supplies – but they will last me seriously forever and they are things I should have in the house anyway.

Here are the directions:
Make Homemade Laminate Floor Cleaner

Here’s all you need. Use a measuring cup or jar and add equal parts:
1)       Water
2)       White Vinegar
3)       70% Isopropyl (Rubbing) Alcohol
To this mixture, add:
4)       Few drops of liquid dish detergent (Make your own dish soap! See instructions below.)

Mix all these ingredients together and pour into a fine mist spray bottle.

Now it doesn’t give a ratio so I did a little research:

I looked up diy floor cleaner on Pinterest and found this Pin:

This recipe is brought to you by EnjoyTheViewBlog :
D-I-Y Floor Cleaner
1 part water
1 part white vinegar
1 part rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol
2-3 drops dish soap (I used Dawn)
The isopropyl alcohol was about $2 and the generic white vinegar was about the same.
I used the recipe on my floors, and I am very happy to report another pinterest win!
NO chemicals, cheap & easy!

Final Verdict: Pinterest Win!
